SWING TIPS -
Putting
Perhaps the greatest
problem high handicap and beginner golfers need to overcome is inconsistent
ball striking. It is no different with putting.
The putting stroke
is a precise action, any variances will cause the ball to roll off line
or at different speeds. How many three putts did you have last round?
Was your first putt either well short or long at the hole? If you answered
two or more, then your stroke needs to be grooved which will lead to
consistent striking of your putts.
To be consistent
you need to find the centre of the putterface every time. When you can
do this it will be a lot easier to judge the distances at your putts.
Drill: Blue-tac
a tee to either side of the sweetspot on the putterface therefor isolating
the sweetspot.
